Feedback on child and young people safety on the Mornington Peninsula closes on Friday 22 September 2023!
To further support our consultation, we are running community information sessions throughout October.
Endorsed earlier this year, our Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy comes after changes to in July 2022. Included in these changes was the growth to 11 total Standards, such as greater focus on safety for Aboriginal children and young people and managing the risk of child abuse in online environments.
We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. We have zero tolerance of child abuse. Robust training, policies and procedures are in place to protect children from abuse and respond to any risks, allegations or safety concerns.
We encourage local businesses, volunteering organisations, service providers and community members to join an upcoming information session, to understand their responsibilities when it comes to child safety.
