A man and a woman are assisting police with inquiries after a five-year-old child was seriously assaulted at a home in Cabramatta last night.
Emergency services were called to the home about 9.50pm (Friday 28 August 2020), where they found the child suffering serious injuries.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
A man aged 20, and a woman aged 31, were arrested at the home. The man was taken to Fairfield Police Station, and the woman was taken to Liverpool Police Station where they are currently assisting with inquiries.
