A Sydney CBD-based chiropractor will face court today after being charged over the alleged sexual assault and touching of a patient.
Police allege a 31-year-old woman was sexually assaulted and sexually touched on multiple occasions while being treated at a clinic in York Street, Sydney, between Thursday 24 January 2019 and Thursday 4 April 2019.
The woman reported the matter to police, and detectives attached to Sydney City Police Area Command commenced an investigation.
About 8.35am yesterday (Thursday 18 December 2019), detectives executed a search warrant at the clinic and arrested a 44-year-old man.
He was taken to The Rocks Police Station and charged with five counts of sexual assault and 11 sexual touching offences.
He was refused bail until his appearance at Central Local Court today (Friday 19 July 2019).
