Campaspe Shire Council’s annual Christmas decorations have been installed across the shire in the lead up to the most wonderful time of the year.
Mayor Rob Amos said Council was excited to announce several large installations would be arriving within the coming week.
“Our annual Christmas decorations are already in place, but we have a few special decorations that will light up three key locations within the shire.
“We hope these exceptional lighting installations will inspire Christmas cheer and provide some great photo opportunities!”
Echuca’s Hopwood Gardens will become a hive of activity with a maze of Christmas installations sprawling throughout the gardens. The centrepiece will be a four and a half metre lit up Santa teddy bear.
Several sizeable lit up stars and reindeer, along with baubles and other fairy lighting, will feature in the gardens. At the Council offices, Christmas coloured lighting will light up the corner of Hare and Heygarth streets.
In Rochester, Rotunda Park will play host to an enormous ‘walk through’ light up bauble, kindly donated to the town by Brady Electrical.
While in Kyabram, Memorial Gardens will sparkle in the evenings against the white light of a tremendous snowflake.
“Of course, there are many other decorations and Christmas trails organised by our community members which we encourage you to visit,” Cr Amos added.
“Tongala’s annual Hay Bale Trail features some fantastic Christmas characters for the kids to enjoy, while Gunbower’s 12 Days of Christmas Trail will take you around the best spots in town.
“Kyabram will continue with their tradition of Santa’s Cave in Allan Street and the festive yarnbombing, while Colbinabbin’s Christmas drums will also make a comeback. Meanwhile, the young and the young at heart will love Rushworth’s Christmas selfie stations.
“We encourage you to explore the many decorations and support our communities.”
