Customer service offices:
The City of Ballarat offices will be closed from Wednesday 25 December to Wednesday 1 January. The offices will reopen Thursday 2 January at 8.15am.
The Ballarat Information Centre will be closed on 25 December and will open from 10am-4pm on public holidays and 8.15am-5pm all other days.
Waste:
Waste collections will be one day later than usual on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of both Christmas and New Year’s weeks and will include a Saturday collection.
Bin repairs and replacements will occur on Friday 20 December, Monday 23 December, Tuesday 24 December, Thursday 2 January and Friday 3 January. There will be no repairs or replacements from 25 December-1 January. Normal services resume Monday 6 January 2020.
The Ballarat Transfer Station is closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Every other day is 8am-4pm, including on weekends throughout December.
Libraries:
All City of Ballarat Libraries and the Library Outreach Service will close at 1pm on Tuesday 24 December.

Robert Clark Conservatory:
The Robert Clark Conservatory will be closed Christmas Day. The Ballarat Botanical Gardens are open every day.
Family and Children’s Services:
Maternal and Child Health Centres will be closed from Christmas Day until Thursday 2 January 2020.
The 24 Hour MCH line for support/advice is 13 2229. A limited service for booked families with newborn babies will operate from Girrabanya MCH on Monday 30 December.
Immunisation service will be closed from Christmas Day until Thursday 2 January 2020.
Central kindergarten registrations remain available through the shutdown period by registering online at ballarat.vic.gov.au.
Supported playgrounds have finished for the year and will reopen at the start of the school year (week starting 3 February).
Parent Place will be closed from 2pm Christmas Eve and reopen Thursday 2 January 2020 with a special timetable of summer activities which can be viewed on the Facebook page.
Children’s Centres at Girrabanya and Wendouree close at 6pm Christmas Eve and reopen Wednesday 8 January 2020. Family day care is dependent upon your individual educator.
Venues:
The Eureka Centre and the Art Gallery of Ballarat will be closed Christmas and Boxing days.
Pools:
The Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre and all outdoor pools will be closed Christmas Day.
