The City of Perth has recently approved business improvement grants for seven local businesses.
Recognising the important role of small and medium enterprises play in creating a dynamic capital city, the Business Improvement Grant Program aims to support businesses by improving facilities, boosting economic activity and directly benefitting the wider community.
The businesses receiving grants are:
Espresso & Prosecco – Hay Street Mall alfresco activation
Pirate Life Perth – external mural on Murray Street
Stanley College West Perth – campus expansion
Arandell Nominees & HM Leach – activation of Murray Street laneway
Locavora – development of alfresco dining area
Papi Katsu – re-recreating a new external façade and internal fit-out.
City of Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas said the City recognised business activity contributed to the vibrancy and energy of the city.
“The ability to generate new ideas and turn those ideas in to profitable business ventures is critical to drive Perth’s COVID-19 rebound, competitive advantage and economic growth,” he said.
“The Business Improvement Grants Program supports new and established local businesses to improve facilities, boost business activity and directly benefitting the City of Perth community.”
