The number of communications staff employed by the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Disability Insurance Agency – recorded in an Australian ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Audit Office report on the Department of Defence on Tuesday 28 January 2020 – requires clarification in light of subsequent media reporting.
The figures, supplied to the Australian Public Service Commission at December 2018, include stakeholder engagement staff who play a vital role in offering face to face information and support to participants, families, carers and providers.
Of the 152 staff in the communications and marketing category referenced in the report, the vast majority (89 per cent) are stakeholder engagement staff, delivering this important function.
