- WA-based solar-integrated glazing company ClearVue to receive $2 million grant to manufacture key components of product onshore
- Grant funding provided through the WA Government’s $285 million Investment Attraction Fund
- $2 million funding will facilitate ClearVue’s plans to fabricate product in WA
The McGowan Government has signed a Financial Assistance Agreement today with solar integrated glazing company ClearVue Technologies for grant funding of up to $2 million.
The grant has been approved in the first round of the Western Australian Government’s $285 Investment Attraction Fund, which aims to encourage new industries and support economic development and diversification within the State.
The grant will assist ClearVue to manufacture the key components used in the company’s patented solar-integrated glazing units and windows at a new plant, based in Perth.
The company plans to develop an assembly line to manufacture the solar photovoltaic strips used for solar collection in ClearVue’s solar windows and facades.
The core intellectual property components that will be manufactured at ClearVue headquarters will be shipped throughout the country and internationally to the company’s licensed manufacturers for use in end-product solar façades and windows.
The Investment Attraction Fund aims to encourage new investments that will create local jobs, increase demand for local goods and services, and secure trade in new sectors and with new markets.
WA Government financial contributions are governed by the execution of a Financial Assistance Agreement.

As stated by State Development, Jobs and Trade Minister Roger Cook:
“The McGowan Government’s Investment Attraction Fund aims to encourage new investments, support the development and expansion of new and emerging industries to diversify our State’s economy, and create new employment opportunities.
“The fund seeks to capitalise on WA’s comparative advantages, including our now thriving innovation ecosystem. A key to supporting innovative companies, like ClearVue, to evolve into thriving businesses within our State is to develop and retain highly-skilled technical expertise here in WA.
“A trailblazer in the field of advanced solar glazing and window solutions, ClearVue is a genuine WA success story. With their patented technology, they continue to expand into international markets and the $2m Investment Attraction Fund grant will enable ClearVue to manufacture its key components onshore for the foreseeable future, creating new employment opportunities within the sector.”
