A new NASA study has found a major Greenland glacier that was one of the fastest shrinking ice and snow masses on Earth is now growing again.
Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi has consistently called out the whole myth of climate change alarmism labelling it “a dangerous cult” and says nothing we do to mitigate climate change will make any appreciable difference to the world’s climate.
The NASA research shows that Jakobshavn Glacier is now flowing more slowly, thickening, and advancing toward the ocean instead of retreating farther inland.
The scientists were so shocked to find the change, Khazendar said: “At first we didn’t believe it. We had pretty much assumed that Jakobshavn would just keep going on as it had over the last 20 years.”
The inconvenient truth for the alarmists also shows that polar bears have double in numbers in recent decades putting the lie to more climate clap-trap.
The news comes as further research from the International Energy Agency shows carbon emissions from fossil-fuel use hit a record high last year after energy demand grew at its fastest pace in a decade, reflecting higher oil consumption in the U.S. and more coal burning in China and India.
Those findings mark a setback for the effort to rein in CO2 emissions, blamed for global warming, just three years after the Paris Climate Agreement saw many nations, including Australia, commit to cut emissions.
The figures showed that natural gas is becoming a preferred fuel for factories and utilities while the pace of installing renewable forms of energy is lagging.
Senator Bernardi was recently interviewed by Adam Peacock on the podcast Peacock Politics, and explained why he is firmly of the belief that climate change alarmism is utter nonsense.
