With many people still feeling the squeeze, there is an opportunity to grow a sustainable economy for leadership brave enough to take the bold steps needed. Will the future government decisively invest in a green transition, fostering job creation, innovation and skills development that attracts confident investment from companies? Or will they continue to water down previously ambitious plans and invest in harmful new oil and gas fields?
Polling shows that addressing climate change is a priority for the British public, a sentiment echoed by our interactions with some of the UK’s largest companies. It’s time for this priority to be reflected in the plans and manifestos of all political parties in the UK.”
