Detectives have charged a member and two associates of the Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) as investigations continue into an alleged large-scale drug supply syndicate.
In June 2018, the Criminal Groups Squad established Strike Force Yarrum to investigate a syndicate involved in the large-scale supply of methylamphetamine, cannabis and cocaine across the Sydney region.
Following extensive inquiries, investigators executed four search warrant at properties in Sylvania, Blacktown, Doonside and Smithfield just after 6am today (Thursday 23 May 2019).
During the searches, officers located several items, including two luxury vehicles, including a Mercedes- AMG, an estimated $100,000 cash, amphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, certified gold playing cards, alcohol and designer clothing and shoes, which are believed to have been stolen.
These items have been seized to undergo forensic examination.
Strike force investigators, with the assistance of specialist tactical officers, arrested a 27-year-old man at a townhouse in Sylvania just after 6am today.
The man, who is a member of the Comanchero OMCG, was taken to Sutherland Police Station, where he was charged with supply greater than commercial quantity of prohibited drug, knowingly direct activities of criminal group, and two counts of deal with more than $100,000 worth of property proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court today (Thursday 23 May 2019).
Shortly after, investigators, with the assistance of Strike Force Raptor, arrested a 22-year-old man at a home in Blacktown and a 28-year-old man at a townhouse in Doonside.
Both men, who are associates of the Comanchero OMCG, were taken to Blacktown Police Station.
The 28-year-old Doonside man was charged with supply indictable quantity of prohibited drug, goods in custody and participation in criminal group.
He was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court today.
The 22-year-old Blacktown man was charged with supply indictable quantity of prohibited drug and participation in criminal group.
He was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Blacktown Local Court on Thursday 13 June 2019.
Investigations under Strike Force Yarrum are continuing.
