The Commonwealth Bank Young Matildas squad for its two-match international series against New Zealand has been updated ahead of tonight’s kick-off at Deakin Stadium in Canberra.
Sunday, 10 April will see the two nations clash following the Commonwealth Bank Matildas Fan Day at Viking Stadium, Canberra with kick-off at 2 pm.
Head coach Leah Blayney has reinforced the squad with an additional eight players including several players who exhibited strong performances in the recent A-League Women’s competition.
The players enter the camp following the implementation of Football Australia’s COVID-19 Protocols after routine testing of the assembly ahead of the opening match saw four players return positive test results. The players and their close contacts are currently under isolation in accordance with ACT Government Health Orders.
Blayney expressed the excitement in the camp ahead of their first international fixtures since November 2019.
Football Australia will be live streaming both internationals on its with renowned Canberra commentating duo, Russ Gibbs and Grace Gill calling all the action.
