³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s for ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s invite residential and commercial propertyowners to take part in a social initiative that will help to end homelessness.Its a simple promise, that when a home sells, 0.1 per cent of the sale pricewill be donated to ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s for ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s.
³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s for ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s pool donations from West Australian sales, withthe funds granted to community housing providers who create social andaffordable housing for those in need.
For example, for a $750,000 home that is a donation of$750, which is tax deductible.
How does it work?
1. ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s registered
When a property is registered with ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s for ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s, they willadd a caveat to the title as a reminder of your promise to donate when you decideto sell.
2. Properties sold
When the property is sold, it remains registered with ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s for³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s, giving the new owner the opportunity to donate when they sell in future.
3. Funds donated
Through the settlement disbursement process, a tax deductibledonation of 0.1 per cent of the sale price is made to ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s for ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s.
4. Money granted
Donations from WA sales are pooled and granted to WA housingproviders.
5. ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s built
The money raised through ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s for ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s is used to build socialand affordable housing to help end homelessness.
