Community Conversation on Voice

Australia is having a conversation about The Voice referendum being held later this year. It’s a conversation about whether we should change the constitution to recognise the First Peoples of Australia by establishing an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice.

Join speakers Thomas Mayo, Corrina Eccles and Professor Cheryl Saunders as they discuss what The Voice will mean for First Nations people, and all Australians. Thomas Mayo is a Kaurareg Aboriginal and Kalkalgal, Erubamle Torres Strait Islander man and the Author of ‘The Voice to Parliament Handbook’. Corrina Eccles is a traditional owner and the Wadawurrung Woman and Cultural Strengthening Manager for Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation. Professor Cheryl Saunders AO is a constitutional lawyer and a laureate professor at the University of Melbourne. Together, they will discuss with the community how The Voice to Parliament is designed, and what it seeks to achieve.
