Want to shape the kind of community you live and age in? Want to connect with like-minded people and find out what programs and supports are available?
Off the back of last year’s successful Positive Ageing Summit, Mornington Peninsula Shire will be hosting three Positive Ageing on the Peninsula – Community Conversations events at Hastings, Rye and Mornington this November.
Each event will include presentations from local groups and services, an update on how we’re tracking with our Positive Ageing 2020-2025 Strategy, a free lunch, and – of course – a community conversation around ageing well on the Peninsula.
These events are a great opportunity to meet new people and to find out what we’re doing in the positive ageing space. We’re also keen to hear about your own personal experiences of living and ageing on the Peninsula to help us to identify future priorities and needs.
Based on what you told us at last year’s summit, we’ve been able to advocate for increased transport services and launched this year’s Seniors Festival. So join us this November to tell us what’s working well, what could be improved and to raise any new issues or concerns.
If you’re aged over 55, a family member, caregiver, support worker, service provider, community group or involved with seniors in any way, we encourage you to attend.
Positive Ageing on the Peninsula – Community Conversations events will be held at the following locations:
- Wednesday 8 November, Hastings Community Hub, 10am-1pm
- Monday 13 November, Rye Civic Hall, 10am-1pm
- Wednesday 15 November, Peninsula Community Theatre, Mornington, 10am-1pm
