Wingecarribee Shire Council is set to host the annual Wingecarribee Community Expo on Thursday 13 October at the Bowral Uniting Church Hall.

Council’s Coordinator Community Development, Ms Cath Brennan, explained that the Expo provides an opportunity for residents to discover the range of services and support groups that contribute to our Shire.

“Over 35 exhibitors will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on a wide variety of services available to our community,” she said.

Services to be represented include mental health and wellbeing, disability, aged care, TAFE and volunteering.

“The last few years have been particularly challenging for many Highlanders,” Ms Brennan said.

“This expo is a great opportunity for anyone perhaps doing it a little tough at the moment to have a chat with a local service provider.

“On the other hand, people may like to touch base with some of the exhibitors to volunteer their own time and services.”

The Wingecarribee Community Services Expo will be held at the Bowral Uniting Church Hall, located at 28 Bendooley Street in Bowral, on Thursday 13 October from 10 am to 1 pm.

Southern Highlands Food Services will provide morning tea and coffee will be available from the Lifeline Coffee Van.

The Community Services Expo is free to attend and is proudly supported by Highlands Community Centres, Wellways, Uniting Care, Southern Highland Community Transport, My Voice and Auscare Support.
