Latrobe City Council celebrated successful applicants from Round One of the 2022/23 Community Grants and Sponsorship Program at an awards ceremony at Gippsland Performing Arts Centre last night.
Eighty applicants were recognised for their projects with a total of $278,472.79 in Community Grants and $42,500 in Community Sponsorship awarded.
Presentations were made under the categories of Minor Equipment; Minor Capital Works; Community Wellbeing; Community Event – Minor; Community Events – Significant and Community Sponsorship.
The Community Grants Program aims to support community initiatives, projects and events that support the local region. They have positive social and economic benefits for the broader community and ensure that community, volunteer and not-for-profit organisations have additional funds to support their projects.
