Local community groups are set to benefit with Council’s Community Small Grants applications opening this week.
The Community Small Grants Program provides funding to support local not-for-profit community groups or organisations that provide activities, services, works or programs that service the Camden area.
Grants will be available in four categories, including:
- Minor works;
- Health and wellbeing;
- Culture and Inclusiveness; and,
- Sport and Recreation Grant – to support Camden’s sporting clubs and associations.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said local community groups make a major impact on the Camden area.
“Council is committed to supporting our community and assisting local community groups and organisations where possible,” Cr Fedeli said.
“Our local community groups and organisations truly are the backbone of our area, and provide vital services, programs and activities for our residents.
“I encourage all our local groups and organisations to consider applying for these grants.”
Council’s Community Sponsorship Program will also open next week for events and activities held between 1 July and 31 December 2022. The program provides either financial or in-kind support for community-based groups, organisations and individuals who run events and activities for Camden residents.
Applications for the Community Small Grants and Community Sponsorship Programs will open from Thursday 1 September. Application forms can be accessed at www.camden.nsw.gov.au/community/grants/
