Community Strategic Plan 2035 – Consultation Sessions

Gilgandra Shire Council

Community Consultation Sessions >> Have Your Say on future of Gilgandra Region

For immediate release.

Gilgandra Shire Council (GSC) is inviting the local community to assist in planning the Gilgandra Region’s future over the next 10 years, by joining the conversation around the 2035 Community Strategic Plan.

The Community Strategic Plan (CSP) is GSC’s highest level planning and is the blueprint that outlines the identified vision, priorities and actions to achieve under the guiding themes of Live, Enjoy, Grow, & Lead. This is the community’s chance to Have Your Say on what you would like to see happen within the Gilgandra Region over the next 10 years.

GSC is inviting you to come along to community consultation sessions to Have Your Say, and interact informally and transparently with Councillors and GSC staff. The session dates, below, will provide the opportunity to share your thoughts and provide feedback, as well as hear from GSC staff regarding the recent Community Insights Survey results.

  • Bearbong Hall – Thursday, 20 February 2025 at 10:30am
  • Tooraweenah Memorial Hall – Thursday, 20 February 2025 at 5:30pm

Gilgandra Shire Mayor, Cr Doug Batten says,

“I encourage the community to come along to the community sessions, and be a part of the conversation on the services and facilities provided on your behalf. As your representatives, we want to hear your feedback on the current service delivery, as well as the communities’ suggestions and aspirations for the future. This feedback will ensure our plans for the future reflect community priorities.”
