Colac Otway community to share in $296,706 through 2019-20 grants program

Seventy-six community organisations, clubs, event organisers and businesses across Colac Otway Shire will share in $296,706 through Council’s 2019-20 Grants Program.

Colac Otway Shire Mayor Cr Jason Schram said festivals, shows, arts and environmental projects, sports equipment, solar and sound systems, building facades and community facility upgrades would be among the projects to receive financial boosts thanks to the annual grants program.

“Our community grants are always popular and we know that receiving a Council grant is often the difference of whether the applicants can afford the equipment, upgrade or project.

“We are fortunate to have volunteers across our shire who are involved in so many fantastic community services and groups, environmental groups, sporting organisations and events which make our shire a great place to live and visit.

“Colac Otway is also proud to support local businesses’ endeavours to improve everyone’s shopping experience and enhance our communities through the building façade improvement program.

“We congratulate the community groups, event organisers and businesses across Colac Otway Shire who have been successful in their applications and will contribute $4,675,839 to the projects and events.”
