The confidence of Queensland’s small and medium business owners is shining bright according to the latest Sensis Business Index survey.
Minister for Employment and Small Business Shannon Fentiman said the survey found 60 per cent of Queensland’s small and medium businesses are extremely confident or fairly confident about their prospects for the coming 12 months.
“This is great news for Queensland’s growing economy with Queensland businesses being the most confident of any of the mainland states,” Ms Fentiman said.
“Our State Budget has delivered for small and medium sized businesses with the biggest reforms to payroll tax in over a decade – this is a budget that’s pro business and the latest Sensis survey is a nod to our ongoing support for Queensland businesses.”
“The Sensis Business Index reports more of our businesses believe the economy is growing than in any other state and that it will keep growing for the coming 12 months.”
“This year we released our commitment to make it easier to do business with government and announced that as of July 2020, we will reduce invoice payment times from 30 days to 20 days.
“This is all part of our commitment to establish Queensland as the best place to start and grow your business while creating more jobs for Queenslanders.”
