The Department of Social Services (DSS) conducted a review of 3 children, youth and parenting programs delivered under the Families and Children (FaC) Activity to determine their effectiveness. Consultation on these findings is now open.
To support the consultation, a Discussion Paper has been developed to generate feedback and ideas which may inform the way the Australian Government makes future decisions about family and children supports.
The Discussion Paper is seeking views on how to further strengthen the 3 children, youth and parenting programs:
- Children and Parenting Support (CaPS)
- Communities for Children Facilitating Partners (CfC FP)
- Family Mental Health Support Services (FMHSS).
The Discussion Paper explores these programs’ intersection with key government actions and priorities. Consultation closes on 24 January 2025.
DSS is also holding in-person workshops in every Capital City to provide clarification on the Discussion Paper.
