Consultation on the ACT Government’s Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Strategy has now opened. The Government is seeking Canberrans input and priorities in addressing these issues. Canberrans contributions will help inform and design the final strategy.
The strategy is envisioned to provide the Government and community sector partners with an overarching strategic framework to guide decision making on domestic, family and sexual violence over the next decade.
The strategy will link closely to the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Plan to End Violence Against Women and Children 2022-2032, including the four focus areas of Prevention, Early Intervention, Response and Recovery and Healing.
Canberrans are invited to put forward a submission on the YourSay website.
Minister for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence, Yvette Berry said, “All Canberrans should be able to live free from domestic, family and sexual violence and feel safe in their relationships, homes and communities.”
“As we develop the ACT Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Strategy, we are seeking the views of the community, victim-survivors of domestic, family and sexual violence, and organisations on the frontline, to help us set our priorities under the four focus areas of prevention, early intervention, response, recovery and healing.”
“We look forward to working closely with our community sector partners as the strategy progresses.”
Consultations will remain open until 28 April 2024.
