Higher energy prices push OECD annual inflation to 2.3% in January
04/03/2020 – Annual inflation in the OECD area picked up to 2.3 % in January 2020, compared with 2.1% in December 2019, as energy prices rose by 4.7% in January compared with 2.2% in December. Food price inflation, on the other hand, slowed slightly to 1.6%, from 1.7% in December. Excluding food and energy, OECD inflation remained stable – for the third consecutive month – at 2.1%.
