The Continental Pool’s ageing intake pipes will be replaced this winter, in an important project that will support improved water supply to the popular saltwater pools.
The project has been scheduled for winter to minimise disruption to users and the pools will remain open for the majority of the time the work is underway.
The first phase of work involves the installation of a temporary intake line, and to complete this work safely the pools will need to be closed until Friday 3 June 2022. The pools will reopen on Saturday 4 June.
Once the temporary line is in place, the pool will be able to be reopened while the project continues for the next three months.
We ask those using the Blue Mile walkway while construction is underway follow directions from staff and any safety signage while the works are underway. There may be some disruption from time to time as construction vehicles are guided in and out of the work area.
