A Cootamundra local took out second spot in the Sportspick Punters Challenge Championship over the weekend.
As a national competition designed to bolster and enhance the beloved Saturday Punters Challenge tipping competition, the 10-week Championship has left an indelible mark on the national tipping scene, showcasing Sportspick’s dedication to providing both local and national punters with an unforgettable, action-packed experience.
Patrons compete within their local Sportspick establishments, vying for the opportunity to claim a local prize pool and qualify for the national Punters Challenge Championship final, where a substantial $25,000 in prizes awaits.
The Central Hotel regular, Barbara Stone, showcased her tipping prowess by outperforming more than 34,000 participants since August, seizing the coveted $5,000 second prize.
“We’re delighted with the impact that the Punters Challenge Championship has had over the course of its second season, and it’s growing stronger by the week. This competition offers venues a fantastic opportunity to deepen their engagement with their patrons, by centering a proposition that racing enthusiasts can relish alongside their friends on a Saturday afternoon,” stated Gregg Downward, Head of Sports Engagement at Sportspick.
The next season of the Punters Challenge Championship, the Summer Series, jumps on Saturday 18 November at participating Sportspick venues across the country.
