Croydon Divisional Tasking Unit officers charged a man after executing warrants in Heathmont and St Albans yesterday seizing cannabis with an alleged street value of more than $500,000.
Police executed a warrant at a house on Lorienne Street in Heathmont and seized more than 80 cannabis plants, prescription medications and hydroponic set up equipment.
Police executed a second warrant at a house on Clarke Street in St Albans where it is alleged equipment and cannabis were located.
A 61-year-old man was arrested and charged with cultivate cannabis, traffick cannabis and other related offences.
He was remanded to appear at the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court today.
“The seizures will cause a major disruption to a well-organized drug syndicate operating throughout Victoria.”
