The Corowa Aquatic Centre Management and Team would like to notify our valued patrons and guests that the Centre will be closing for a two-week period, commencing Sunday, September 25.
The two-week closure is to allow for repairs and maintenance works to be undertaken within the indoor pool facility and outdoor splash park.
Federation Council General Manager, Adrian Butler said the closure was necessary to ensure repairs and maintenance works are conducted in a timely and effective manner.
“I am pleased to advise that the Corowa Aquatic Centre’s management team have been able to schedule these works in over the next two-week period with the pool builder,” he said.
“With any facility, whether new or old, there is always repairs and maintenance works that need to be undertaken and I wish to assure our patrons and guests that in the best interests of public safety and to manage the works effectively, it is deemed appropriate to complete these by closing the facility. Whilst the school holiday period is not ideal for closure, our management team assessed in great detail the best possible time to do these works to minimize disruption. Our team recommended the closure to take place now so there would no interruption to our Learn to Swim Program, which welcomes over 400 families to the Centre each week during the NSW school terms. We thank our valued patrons and guests for their understanding and look forward to reopening the doors to our Centre on Tuesday, October 11.”
The Corowa Aquatic Centre will be closed from Sunday, September 25 and is expected to reopen on Tuesday, October 11. Our Learn to Swim Program is set to recommence on the first week of the NSW School Term 4 as normal and is not expected to be interrupted, with the first day of classes scheduled to be held on Tuesday, October 4.
The Corowa Aquatic Centre team will provide further updates during the closure period. Current yearly members and winter pass holders will have their memberships extended for a two-week period beyond their current expiry date due to the closure.
