Campaspe Shire Council has awarded more than $55,000 in funding as part of three grant funding programs.
Mayor Chrissy Weller said applications for the Community Grants, Business Assistance Grants and Community Equipment Grants were all reviewed and we are delighted to assist so many worthy recipients.
“It’s great to see the variety of projects planned to be delivered by community groups right across our shire,” Cr Weller said.
“Community Grants and Business Assistance Grants are allocated twice a year, while Community Equipment Grants come around six times a year.
“Community Grants offer up to $4,000 to not-for-profit community organisations, groups and associations for projects, exhibitions and/or performances.”
Council approved the following:
- $4,000 to Echuca Village Tennis Club Inc to restore a synthetic grass tennis court
- $2,753 to Gunbower & District Development Group Inc for interpretive panels
- $2,236 to Rushworth & District Concert Band Inc to digitise printed sheet music
- $2,000 to Echuca Bowls Club Inc to assist with a building survey report
- $4,000 to Echuca Football Netball Club Inc to host a suicide prevention information session
- $1,690 to Echuca Moama Arts Initiative Inc to host a youth art workshop
- $4,000 to We Are Vivid to assist with UPbicycle program
- $3,500 to Kyabram Urban Landcare Group (Landcare Victoria Inc.) for landscaping
- $4,000 to Echuca Moama Search & Rescue Inc to install digital lock system
“Business Assistance Grants provide financial support to local businesses to diversify and expand their service and product offering for the benefit of the local economy,” Cr Weller said.
The following grants were approved:
- $1,500 to Clubhouse Flowers for refrigeration equipment
- $3,000 to Pinto Pantry for social media marketing
- $3,000 to The Writing Room for business mentoring and brand development
- $5,000 to Rich River Physiotherapy & Acupuncture Clinic to assist with infrastructure and equipment
“Community Equipment Grants provide assistance to community groups and sporting clubs to purchase equipment to support programs and activities,” Cr Weller said.
The following grants were approved:
- $2,000 to Echuca Pistol Club Inc to assist with temporary storage
- $2,000 to Crossenvale Community House Inc for outdoor seating
- $2,000 to Rushworth Community Support Inc for shelving and safety equipment
- $630 to Kyabram Croquet Club Inc for a PA system
- $2,000 to Kyabram Valley View Golf & Bowls Club Inc towards a motorised cart to assist visitors with disabilities
- $2,000 to Rushworth Golf Club Inc for garden maintenance equipment
- $2,000 to Lockington & District Living Heritage Complex Inc for computer equipment
- $921 to Shine Bright Echuca South Community Kindergarten Inc for vegetable and garden equipment
- $1,200 to Kyabram Blue Light Inc for floor matting
The next round of funding for the Community and Business Assistance Grants opens in August, and applications for the Community Equipment Grant open again in July.
