Campaspe Shire Council is delighted to announce the successful recipients of Council’s Grants programs for the month of July. These grants aim to support and empower local community organisations and groups in their valuable work to enhance the quality of life for residents throughout our region.
Council’s grants programs provide financial assistance to a diverse range of projects and initiatives that contribute to the social, cultural, environmental, and economic development of the Campaspe community. Council received numerous applications for funding, each displaying the passion and dedication of local groups and individuals towards improving our vibrant community.
The grants that were awarded in July included:
Community Event Sponsorship
- Kyabram Theatre Group Inc. were awarded $1,000 to help with equipment hire for production rehearsals and performances.
- $1,500 was awarded to American Truck Historical Society Australian Chapter Inc. to be used for advertising and marketing for the American Iron Echuca Truck Display at Rotary Park, Echuca from 9 – 10 September.
- $800 was awarded to Echuca Historical Society Inc. to assist with bus hire and food costs for the Ready Teddy Go Free Family Fun Day at Echuca Historical Society & Museum on 20 September.
- Kyabram RV Country Music Festival (Kyabram Development Committee Inc.) were awarded $4,000 to assist with the costs of hosting the Kyabram RV Country Music Festival, bringing visitors to the shire.
- Stanhope & District Development Committee Inc. have been granted $2,500 to help fund the Celebrate Stanhope Food & Wine Festival in Stanhope on 1 October
Responsive Grants
- $1,000 was awarded to Bocce Australia to assist with advertising and promotion of the 2023 Bocce Raffa Australian Men’s and Women’s Doubles Open Championships to be held in Kyabram from 29 – 30 July. The event will provide an opportunity for Kyabram Bocce Club to promote and increase their member base and participation rate.
- Warramunda Villages Inc. was awarded $1,000 to assist with the Christmas in July Luncheon of residents and their families.
Community Equipment Grants Program
- $2,000 was awarded to Elmore Equestrian Club to purchase outdoor picnic tables for the Social Hub at the Elmore Events Centre.
