In exciting news for animal lovers across the Snowy Monaro, Council and Pets Domain Cooma are teaming up to host the wagging tails and purring faces from Cooma Pound that are ready to win hearts and find their forever homes.

Whether you’ve been thinking about finding yourself a furry friend, the kids have begging you for that puppy, or you’ve got a heart of gold and room in your life for an animal in need – stop by next weekend and meet our loveable crew of cats and dogs. We can’t wait to see you.
By choosing to adopt, you’ll be bringing years of joy, love and companionship into the lives of you and your family – and giving an innocent animal a second chance at finding the loving home they deserve.
Adoption Fee: $150 (plus registration costs)
Adding a new member to your household is a significant decision. Staff will be on hand to help guide you through the adoption process, address your questions and concerns, and give you the information you need to know about adopting a new pet.
Your support and compassion will ensure that these animals’ sad stories can have the happiest of endings.

Council hopes this is the first in a series of successful events to rehome our growing number of pound animals. If your organisation would like to help, we’re accepting expressions of interest until Monday 21 August 2023.
