Wingecarribee Shire Council is calling on local community groups to apply for funding as part of this year’s ClubGRANTS scheme.
ClubGRANTS is an initiative of the NSW Government and Clubs NSW to provide funding for community development projects and services that have a direct impact on residents in the Wingecarribee Shire.
Council’s Director Corporate Strategy and Resourcing, Ms Carmel Foster explained that funding is available to community groups, charities and sporting teams across the Shire.
“The ClubsGRANTS Scheme is a fantastic opportunity for community groups to raise the profile of their group or project which may otherwise struggle to get off the ground,” she said.
“I encourage local community groups that meet the criteria for funding to submit an application before the deadline.”
Applications should have a strong focus on residents of the Shire and be able to deliver sustainable outcomes. Priorities for funding should target either older people, young people, children or persons experiencing social disadvantage.
Organisations must be registered as not-for-profit and only projects which directly benefit residents of Wingecarribee Shire will be considered.
