Leeton Shire Council’s DRAFT Transport, Water, and Wastewater Asset Management Plans (AMPs) have been placed on public exhibition for 28 days, following endorsement at the February Ordinary Meeting.
The three AMPs are integral documents designed to guide staff and Councillors in how Council should manage these community assets. Further, they provide Council with financial guidance and asset planning strategies for each asset class and will help inform the Long-Term Financial Plan (LTFP).
Acting Director Operations, Luke Tedesco, highlighted the purpose of each AMP, stating, “The Water & Wastewater AMPs demonstrate how Council is aiming to manage its water and wastewater infrastructure assets in a responsible manner. In addition, it outlines the management approach, specific to each asset category, including delivery objectives, future demand, optimisation of lifecycle management, risks, and funds required.”
“The Transport AMP details information about our transport assets, including local roads, footpaths, bridges, car parks, bus stops, as well as a range of support infrastructure. The AMP outlines how Council is aiming to manage these assets responsibly to provide the community, road users and pedestrians with a safe, functional, and fit-for-purpose road and pathway network.”

Hard copies are available for viewing by the public at the Council administration office, Leeton Shire Library, Yanco Shop and Murrami and Whitton Post Offices.
