Following a comprehensive public hearing process held earlier this year, Council has received the independent report from Planning Panels Victoria (PPV) for proposed Amendment C219morn to the Mornington Peninsula Planning Scheme.
Amendment C219morn proposes to implement Council’s adopted Housing and Settlement Strategy: Refresh 2020-2036 (Mornington Peninsula Shire, 2020) and Neighbourhood Character Study and Guidelines (Ethos Urban, 2019) by making substantial changes to zones, overlays and policies affecting the Shire’s residential areas.
Having considered all public submissions, the Panel concluded that Council should adopt Amendment C219morn subject to further strategic work and a range of detailed recommended changes to proposed planning controls and policies.
Council will now thoroughly review the Panel’s recommendations and then decide later this year whether to adopt Amendment C219morn (with or without changes recommended by the Panel).
