Corangamite Shire has several desks available for community groups or individuals through an expression of interest process.
They will be offered for free to Corangamite community groups and for a fee to individuals.
Corangamite Shire’s Manager Environment and Emergency Lyall Bond invited not-for-profit community groups and individuals from the shire to submit expressions of interest.
“The 14 corner style desks with computer keyboard returns were surplus to council’s needs,” he said.
“Requests will be reviewed by Council Officers before the desks are allocated.
“Successful applicants will be required to collect the desks.”
Under Council’s Disposal of Assets Policy December 2022, donations of surplus Council assets with a residual value of $0 to $20,000 may only be made with the authority of the Chief Executive Officer.
The non-profit basis of applicants should be considered to ensure the intended use of the asset is non-commercial.
Applications are open now and close at 5 pm, Friday 14 April.
