The seminar forms part of Council’s Community Training Calendar which has been running since the beginning of the year, and will discuss a number of significant heritage sites across Greater Shepparton and the planning controls that seek to conserve this significance.

The region boasts many places of state and local significance, and community members are encouraged to come along and learn about these sites and the planning controls that are in place to ensure our heritage is preserved for years to come.

The free session will be held on Wednesday, 27 April 2022 from 2pm-3pm online via Zoom and will be facilitated by Council’s Team Leader Strategic Planning, Michael MacDonagh. There will be time for questions at the completion of the seminar.

“Council is excited to host this training seminar and I encourage anyone interested in our region’s heritage sites and their planning controls to attend,” Mr MacDonagh said.

“All questions regarding how places are identified in heritage studies, how significance is measured, how planning controls are applied to places and the importance of conserving the region’s heritage are welcome.”

The online session is free, however, please reserve your spot via
