Hobsons Bay City Council has welcomed the Victorian Government’s funding for its Digital Literacy for Seniors program.

On Tuesday 14 February, Minister for Local Government, Melissa Horne, visited Altona North Community Library to announce the Victorian Government was providing $2 million to councils across the state to help provide hands-on digital training for seniors.

The $25,241 allocated to Hobsons Bay will enable Council to continue its important work in helping older residents understand the basics of using digital devices.

It will help them feel more confident in their digital skills and keep them better connected with their family, friends and community, which is crucial for their physical and mental wellbeing.
