Victorian Premier, Daniel Andrews mandates Stage 4 restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne.
A surge in COVID-19 cases in Victoria has prompted the State Government to impose Stage 4 restrictions on metropolitan Melbourne.
Residents of those areas are now allowed only one hour of outdoor exercise per day, with supermarket trips limited to one member of each household per day. There is also an 8:00pm – 5:00am curfew in place.
A host of businesses have also closed because of the pandemic, although supermarkets, pharmacies, petrol stations and banks remain open.
Regional Victoria, meanwhile, has moved to the same Stage 3 restrictions that were previously in place in metropolitan Melbourne. Residents in regional Victoria can now only leave home to work or study; to exercise; to shop for essentials; and to receive or give care.
