The Department of Health has today reported three new cases of COVID-19 overnight, bringing the State’s total to 544.
The two males and one female are all from metropolitan Perth and are aged from 26 to 30 years. Two of the cases are related to the cruise ship Artania, which is due to leave Perth waters today. The other is associated with overseas travel.
As with all new confirmed cases, contact tracing is underway to ensure close contacts are notified and advised of the requirement for them to self-isolate.
There are currently 33 confirmed COVID-19 patients in Perth metropolitan hospitals, six of whom are in ICU.
To date, 26,631 Western Australians have tested negative for COVID-19. Of these 5702 are from regional WA.
WA has 388 recovered cases.
