The Department of Health has reported six new cases of COVID-19 overnight.
The positive cases – all males – are crew from a livestock carrier which is docked in Fremantle Harbour. The ship – Al Kuwait – travelled to Perth from Qatar.
The six confirmed cases were moved off the ship today to a Perth hotel in a State Government operation involving WA Health, WA Police and Fremantle Port Authority as well as the Commonwealth Department of Agriculture, Border Force and the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.
