CPSU wins big for NT shift workers

CPSU

CPSU representatives have won tens of millions of dollars in back pay after uncovering underpayments of 2,000 shift workers.

CPSU members in the NT public service contacted their union representatives after discovering they were being paid for 36.75 hours a week, when in reality they were working 38 hours a week.

CPSU representatives launched a dispute, driven by workplace delegates, to address the underpayment and the result, 2000 shift workers will be receiving a 3.4% pay rise backdated to April 2022 and paid until August 2025.

This represents tens of millions of dollars for our members in the NT public service.
