FEDERAL Leader of the United Australia Party, Craig Kelly, announced today the party had endorsed 150 House of Representatives candidates to contest the upcoming Federal Election.
Mr Kelly said the United Australia Party was receiving strong support and was confident the party would be part of the Government following the election.
“Now more than ever we need to protect our country’s prosperity and economic outlook,” Mr Kelly said.
“The biggest threat to the future of Australia is the increase in interest rates resulting from the debt of over $1 trillion that Scott Morrison’s Liberals and Labor have contributed to.
“The stark reality is when interest rates rise by 4%, 70% of Australians will experience mortgage stress or failure.
“This will result in losses of homes, the property market will fall and we will see Australia succumb to foreign ownership by China and North America,” Mr Kelly said.
“Last week, I announced our finance team headed by Clive Palmer, one of Australia’s most successful business people, as Shadow Treasurer and former Deloitte CEO Domenic Martino as Shadow Finance Minister.
“Mr Palmer and Mr Martino bring a wealth of real-world experience to deliver economic prosperity to Australia.
“Comparing the combined experience of the United Australia Party’s finance team with that of the Labor apparatchik and Josh Frydenberg, it’s chalk and cheese.”
Mr Kelly said the United Australia Party would protect Australia and pay back the entire debt.
“While makeover Albo does nothing and Scotty from marketing shows no moral compass, we see that Mr Palmer has personally created over 60,000 jobs and more than $4 billion of exports for Australia,” he said.
“Our country needs a tough, robust financial position to put our best foot forward to secure a bright future for all.
“Next week, Mr Palmer will address the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Press Club where he will announce the Party’s financial blueprint to secure our financial future in the face of a pending national crisis that the Prime Minister and Labor don’t recognise or simply ignore.
“A cynic could say the last two year’s economic performance has been designed for the coming destruction of the economy and individual hardships. Only intervention by a future United Australia Party will save our country,” Mr Kelly said.
