Creativity meets innovation at the Rutland Street Design Hub

Discover the hidden gem of Geelong’s design scene at the Rutland Street Design Hub where nearly 20 creative businesses will open to the public on Thursday 28 November.

As part of Geelong Design Week, we are pleased to showcase this thriving local community of designers, artists, makers, and innovators from 3.30pm to 7.30pm. Community members are invited to explore the eclectic mix of businesses within the Newtown hub on the corner of Pakington Street.

Among the open day ‘s highlights are Nicola Cerini’s exquisite collection of design products, Fluent Studio’s fresh perspective to interior design, and luxury preloved fashion at Cercle Lifestyle where sustainable, curated designs meet timeless style.

Curious onlookers are welcome to join the Blink Dance Theatre in an hour-long ensemble-style class, get their kids creative at two free art workshops at We Made, watch a fine art printer demonstration at Bells Fine Art or browse the beautiful locally designed sleepwear and homewares at Jade and May.

Get excited by the exquisite work displayed at Sequel Gallery or peek behind the scenes at how True South Film captures compelling local stories.

For creative professionals seeking inspiration, collaborative space AsOne Coworking will provide a free session on biophilic design and upcycling in a commercial setting, while jewellery aficionados will find handcrafted treasures at BLT Jewellery.
