Cricket Victoria announce Clint McKay and Wade Seccombe as its new T20 High Performance Managers

Cricket Victoria is pleased to confirm the appointments of Clint McKay and Wade Seccombe as its new T20 High Performance Managers.

McKay is a former Test and One-Day international player for Australia, who was an important contributor for the Victorian team during the late 2000’s in which the side captured four Sheffield Shield titles over ten years.

He has also been involved extensively as a player and coach with the Melbourne Stars and joined Australia’s extended coaching staff in 2022.

Seccombe joins Cricket Victoria with a wealth of coaching experience and a track record of proven success.

The former Queensland wicketkeeper recently led the Brisbane Heat to its second BBL title earlier this year and was coach of the Queensland Bulls for six years before stepping down at the end of last summer.

McKay will be aligned with the Melbourne Stars and Seccombe will be aligned to the Melbourne Renegades.

Cricket Victoria General Manager of Cricket Performance Graham Manou welcomed the appointments.

“It is really pleasing to be able to have two people of Clint and Wade’s calibre joining our cricket performance program at Cricket Victoria and working closely with both our Big Bash clubs,” Manou said.

“They will play a vital role in the talent management and identification process with a specific focus on T20 skills and potential. They will also be an active part of our existing elite and development programs, putting a renewed emphasis on T20 cricket within our programs.”

Both managers will commence in their roles shortly ahead of the start of pre-season training.
