A man will appear in court today after Criminal Groups detectives seize $2 million in cash, luxury vehicles and watches following an investigation into organised car theft in Sydney.
State Crime Command’s Criminal Groups Squad have been conducting an investigation into the ongoing use of stolen cars to commit serious crime by organised crime groups.
As part of ongoing investigations, detectives executed a search warrant at a business in Wetherill Park about 6.30am Thursday 27 June 2024.
During the search detectives located and seized over $2 million cash split between several bags, several luxury watches, four luxury cars and two luxury motorbikes.
The business owner, 34-year-old man, was arrested at the scene before being taken to Fairfield Police Station.
He has been charged with knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
The Wentworthville man was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court yesterday (Friday 28 June 2024).
Investigations continue.
