CSD New Zealand Ltd. announced today that the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) has extended its contracts for the NZ Video Interpreting Service (VIS) and Asset Management (textphone pool) for the period of 1 July 2019 through 30 June 2020. As part of the extension, MBIE also has extended the current hours of availability for VIS to include weekend service and public holidays. Effective 1 July 2019, in addition to the week day hours of 8:00 — 20:00, VIS will be available from 10:00 — 17:00 on Saturdays and 12:00 — 17:00 on Sundays.
CSD NZ Ltd. has provided video interpreting services and managed the textphone device pool since 2011 and is a subsidiary of Communication Service for the Deaf (CSD), the world’s largest Deaf-led social impact organization.
