Food enthusiasts mark your calendars for Saturday August 10! Get up close and personal with the women who are creating positive change in food culture on the Sunshine Coast.
This inspiring event is about so much more than agribusiness. It’s also an opportunity to hear the stories of three inspiring and down-to-earth women who go far beyond the simple food to plate concept.
In a time of increased food intolerance, chemical sensitivity and the need for sustainable earth processes, it has become more relevant to understand where our food is coming from. Thankfully there are individuals like Cyndi O’Meara of Changing Habits, Sandra Gosling of COYO and Emma Greenhatch of the Food & Agribusiness Network, eager to share their journeys to support these needs within the booming food industry of the Sunshine Coast.
Master of Ceremonies, Sunshine Coast Business Woman of the Year Finalist, Jennifer Swaine, will lead the open conversation about creating and sustaining a business in the local food and agribusiness sector. Expect to be taken on an emotional roller-coaster ride as our guests share their personal experiences of building a business that promotes and encourages consumers to maintain healthy and sustainable lifestyles.
The event will conclude with the opportunity to meet and greet our special guests and sample some of the local food produce in the lakeside courtyard of Venue 114.
Zest, Venue 114’s very own vibrant, sustainability focussed new food venture will be open to support the event by offering barista-made coffee and locally sourced healthy snacks for purchase.
The Curated Plate Culinary Festival is presented by Nine Food Events in partnership with Sunshine Coast Council and Visit Sunshine Coast, and is supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland.
