Dangerous driving charge in Mountain Creek, QLD

A man has been charged after a traffic incident that occurred in Mountain Creek yesterday.

Police were called to Bundilla Boulevard shortly before 1.30pm following reports that a woman had sustained serious injures because of a traffic single vehicle incident.

Police will be alleged that a ute was being driven dangerously in the wet at the intersection of Bundilla Boulevard and Manatunga Parade when a woman appeared to step out of the vehicle and struck her head on the roadway.

She was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment of serious head injuries.

Police have charged a 40-year-old Wurtulla man with one count each of dangerous driving whilst adversely affected by an illicit substance and failure to remain at the scene and render assistance.
