Darwin Fringe Festival Spotlight On Local Artists

Delve into the minds and work of creative locals at the Darwin Fringe Festival, which begins this Friday.

This year’s festival will showcase some of the Territory’s best, and emerging artists, with performances ranging from art, theatre, music and comedy.

The Darwin Fringe Festival provides a platform for local artists to perform in a professional setting with more than 70 per cent of acts being local.

The 10-day community arts festival with bite, will feature 74 events with 145 individual performances, shows and experiences across 15 venues. There’s something for all tastes and budgets with tickets averaging $20 and some events free.

The Northern Territory Government supports the Darwin Fringe Festival through the Event Funding Program, which is administered by Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC).

The festival kicks off on Friday 12 July and runs until Sunday 21 July.
