Darwin Mangoes are ‘The Season’s Must Have’
at Mango Madness Festival
8 October 2021
Darwin mango season is in full swing and that means the annual festival celebrating the Territory’s favourite tropical fruit is back again.
The Mango Madness Festival is a free community event that brings the mango farm to the city, helping farmers connect directly with their mango-loving consumers
The Mango Madness Festival debuted at the Darwin Waterfront in 2020 and is returning again this year on Saturday, 13 November 2021.
The Festival, hosted by the Northern Territory Mango Industry Association, invites mango lovers to come and celebrate the Top End’s mango season, experience some ‘mango madness’ and enjoy Darwin’s famously delicious sweet treat.
Wander through the mango greenhouse to enjoy some mango tasting, cool down in the lagoon, sip on mango beverages at the Tropical Summer beach, try a range of mango-inspired foods or test your skills in the competitive mango games. The day will be delicious and sticky, educational and fun, with a little bit of ‘madness’ for the whole family to enjoy.
The Festival is proudly supported by the Northern Territory Government through the Community Benefit Fund and Northern Territory Major Event, and receives industry support from Perfection Fresh as a Platinum sponsor.
So keep 13 November free, and head to Darwin Waterfront from 3pm-7pm. Bring your swimmers, hand fans and your appetite, and celebrate this year’s Mango Madness Festival. Make sure you take home a box of ‘this season’s must have’.
